Social Circle Game: May Events

My calendar is basically booked for May. This weekend I am going out with a bunch of girls to a bar in the city then I have the NYC Lair meeting the next day. Skip ahead in the month and I organized a team to walk in the NYC AIDS Walk and then I set up a Wings night the following night. The wings night takes place at a bar and the bar is basically a place that does 10c wings on specific nights, so a group of us will go there and stuff ourselves silly over drinks. Then comes the next UFC party a week later. The UFC party format basically consists of three hours of socializing, drinking, and drinking games and then three hours of MMA fights from the UFC on PPV. As of right now I do not plan on adding any more events to May that I am hosting, though I will of course go out with girls, friends, etc, during available days :-)

I have not yet decided what I want to do in the months of June, July, and August, but I have some ideas. There will of course be UFC parties most likely once a month. Aside from that I want to have at least two BBQs, a bar hop, a group gathering at an all you can eat rips place in New Jersey, a game of Dodge Ball and Sky Diving. I have all the information for the skydiving and I have been putting out feelers to see people’s interest. The only issue of course with skydiving is the price. While many may be interested, the price tag will prevent many from partaking. As for the Dodge Ball, if I am going to organize an event I need to be sure I have control over the venue. Therefore I’ve been contacting facilities to rent an indoor basketball court to play dodge ball in for about a 2-3 hour block of time. The cheapest I’ve found so far is 85 an hour and the most expensive 150 an hour. The most I want to charge participants is 10 dollars, but preferably 5. Until I can find a suitable location, Dodge Ball is a no go, but I have confidence.

Other than that I have organized a list of several dozen activities that I think would be very fun to set up with groups between 10 – 30 people. Event planning is actually pretty damn fun.

Hey - You know what the deal is w/the NYC Lair meetings these days - they all seem to say there in Philly? Always thought they were at Ripley in the city...

They are in Ripley. I think the Philly people have their own meetings.
